Interxion: A Digital Realty Company (NYSE: DLR), says that PAR12, the company’s newest data center in Paris, is now open for business.

Interxion: A Digital Realty Company (NYSE: DLR), says that PAR12, the company’s newest data center in Paris, is now open for business. As the name implies, PAR12 is the company’s 12th facility in the Paris region (see "Interxion begins Paris Digital Park data center campus project") and will provide up to 12 MW of IT load capacity and eight data halls providing over 690 square meters of colocation facilities.

PAR12 is situated less than 30 km east of Paris in Ferrières-en-Brie. It is Interxion’s third facility in the region to target cloud service providers by enabling customers to deploy network hubs on PlatformDIGITAL, the company’s global data center platform. The facility also is expected to attract enterprises who wish to deploy disaster recovery scenarios from Paris and the east of France using low-latency networks deployed along the A4 motorway.

"This new strategic location meets the strong demand from content and cloud providers, who are interested in a third hub in the Paris region," said Fabrice Coquio, managing director, Interxion France. "It will also allow companies in the east of France to improve the resilience of their infrastructure by being located close to Paris, while being connected to a high-performance low-latency network. It marks a new chapter in Interxion's development in France to continue to meet customers' demand."
