Wirewerks says it now offers a Wall-Mount 12RU Swing-Out Rack to save floorspace in PoPs, base stations and edge facilities. The swing-out feature enables easy access to the back of installed equipment and cabling.
Key features of the new rack include:
- selectable left or right-hand swing
- integrated cable management for cable routing, bend-radius protection, and cable attachment and strain-relief.
- use of the rack’s top panel as a protected space for service loop or slack storage
- pre-drilled for mounting an (optional) Wirewerks Open Spool cable reel.
Wirewerks ships the rack ships flat for easy handling, storage and reduced transportation costs. The enclosure is designed to be assembled easily without special tools and deliver durability and reliability over an extended operational lifespan, according to the company.
The rack will accept industry-standard 19-inch rack-mount panels and active equipment from all manufacturers, including Wirewerks’ NextSTEP, LGXtra, and Keywerks patch panels and enclosures.
“Our broadband customers tell us that the Wall-Mount 12RU Swing-Out Rack is a real problem-solver in their always space-limited PoPs and edge locations, and in their 5G DAS/IBW and FTTP/MDU network deployments,” commented Bruno Gaeta, Wirewerks’ senior vice president of sales.
