Zayo Group Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: ZAYO) says it has opened a point of presence (PoP) in Manchester, UK, in response to customer demands. The company says that a multinational content provider and a pan-European systems integrator are using the PoP already.
The new PoP is designed to offer access to diverse connectivity options between North America and Europe that bypass London. These options include wavelength, Ethernet, and IP services.
"Manchester is a key metro market for the media and tech economy in the UK, and Zayo can now provide scalable bandwidth services to match the growing demands of this region," explained Alastair Kane, managing director of Northern Europe at Zayo. "Zayo is able to support locally the growing digital ecosystem in Manchester and customers can be connected globally, thereby expanding market opportunity and improving competitiveness."
