Unite Private Networks connects ViaWest data center in Plano

Fiber-optic network services provider Unite Private Networks (UPN) has connected its network to ViaWest's new data center in Plano, TX. The new facility joins ViaWest data centers in the Dallas Infomart and Richardson Synergy Park as sites where ViaWest customers can avail themselves of UPN's Ethernet, IP, dark fiber and data transport services.

Fiber-optic network services provider Unite Private Networks (UPN) has connected its network to ViaWest's new data center in Plano, TX. The new facility joins ViaWest data centers in the Dallas Infomart and Richardson Synergy Park as sites where ViaWest customers can avail themselves of UPN's Ethernet, IP, dark fiber and data transport services.

The new ViaWest data center is Tier III certified by the Uptime Institute for concurrently maintainable reliability and features 148,000 square feet of raised floor capacity.

"We are looking forward to continuing our longstanding partnership with ViaWest and extending our fiber-optic infrastructure to their new Plano data center," said Steve Hartman, vice president of content at UPN. "Business customers will now have more options available for unique, low-latency routes, as well as access to our state-of-the-art fiber-optic network and suite of services that includes dark fiber, Internet, and metro Ethernet products."
