Unite Private Networks (UPN) says it has expanded its fiber footprint in Waco, TX. The fiber network services provider says it has deployed 30 miles of high-count fiber cable in the Waco metro area.
The new fiber infrastructure reaches the downtown business district and covers most of the Waco metro area, says UPN. From there the fiber links to UPN's regional transport fiber network, which provides connectivity to Dallas, Austin, and San Antonio (see, for example, "Unite Private Networks expands Texas fiber network footprint" and "Unite Private Networks to build San Antonio fiber network"). UPN is offering local businesses access to dark fiber or dedicated lit services from 100 Mbps to 100 Gbps. The company will offer Ethernet, internet, voice, DDoS protection, and other services as well. A local team is available to engineer, install, and maintain the fiber infrastructure, UPN adds.
"UPN has a significant presence throughout Texas, and Waco is a continuation of our commitment to serving the state's business and carrier community," said Gil Nunez III, sales manager at UPN. "We currently serve Waco Independent School District, connecting all 30 district facilities, and we're incredibly excited to begin serving the business community."
