Jabil’s QSFP-DD Dual Pluggable EDFA enables customers to benefit from a simple “plug-and-play” approach that works seamlessly inside the same Ethernet switch used for Ethernet connectivity. Not only does this offer significant cost savings from a hardware perspective but the pluggable product removes operational cost and complexity from the equation, Jabil points out. No extensive training or network management is required to operate the QSFP-DD Dual-Pluggable EDFA. Moreover, the extremely small form factor consumes much less space and power than similar amplifiers currently on the market.
