Adtran offers SDX 6330 disaggregated 10G Combo PON OLT

The 2.5RU OLT is designed to support large-scale retail and wholesale fiber to the premises (FTTP) business cases with Combo PON (GPON and XGS-PON) and open network support.

Adtran, Inc. (NASDAQ:ADTN) has introduced its third-generation optical line terminal (OLT), the SDX 6330. The 2.5RU OLT is designed to support large-scale retail and wholesale fiber to the premises (FTTP) business cases with Combo PON (GPON and XGS-PON) and open network support.

The SDX 6330 provides 48 Combo PON ports as well as 25/100/400 Gigabit Ethernet networking ports. The 400G uplink port capabilities are an industry first, Adtran asserts. The temperature-hardened OLT platform also will support coherent optics, the company adds. The system can be deployed in standalone, ring, star, chain, and leaf-spine topologies.

Adtran adds the SDX 6330 is designed to help meet corporate sustainability objectives by reducing power demand and landfill requirements.
