Bluebird Network has hired telecom industry veteran Jason Adkins as its new CEO. Adkins will officially take over on March 18, 2024.
A 29-year fiber industry veteran, Adkins previously served as the CEO of Unite Private Networks until their recent sale to Cox Communications. He served in various management roles with Windstream, Kentucky Data Link, Inc. (KDL), Level 3 Communications, TelCove, Conterra Networks, and KMC Telecom.
Adkins earned a B.B.A. in Marketing with a minor in Economics from James Madison and an MBA from Radford University.
“With a 100% fiber optic backbone, diverse mission-critical data centers, and a strong reputation for customer service, I look forward to continuing to bring world-class connectivity to businesses and carriers throughout the Midwest,” said Adkins.
CEO Michael Morey, a twelve-year veteran of Bluebird with over 40 years of telecom experience, will leave his current role in March after assisting Adkins’ transition into the role.
