RS-485 fiber-optic modem

The TC1540 2-wire RS-485 fiber-optic modem can mix or match RS-485 (2-wire and 4-wire), RS-232, or RS-422 interfaces. The modem typically interconnects cpus or host controllers with remote terminal units. The device supports asynchronous rates to 700 kbits/sec, depending on the electrical interface, and is compatible with all popular types of singlemode and multimode fiber-optic cable. Optical redundancy with automatic link switchover is optional.
