GTE Laboratories, Waltham, MA, has announced that Harrisburg, PA-based AMP Inc. is licensing GTE technology to lower the cost of manufacturing opto-electronic devices. The agreement gives AMP the right to apply GTE-patented photolithographic and etching techniques to achieve automated fabrication of transmitters, receivers and other special-purpose hardware used in a variety of telecommunications and computing applications.
