Omron adds new mounting option to CWDM mux/demux

June 26, 2006 Schaumburg, IL -- Omron Electronic Components LLC announced the availability of their P1X CWDM multiplexer/demultiplexer with a screw tab mounting option.

"For those customers who want an extremely small mux/demux that is easy to handle and mount, this package type is a great option", says Martin Smith, product manager of Omron in the U.S.

This package type is the third kind made available by Omron in complementing the traditional 14.5x7.2x4.7-mm package and the 8x4.5x2-mm "unpackaged" versions. The variety of package options addresses a broad range of CWDM customers, from those making small-form-factor transceivers to more traditional rack-mounted CWDM products.

Cost for P1X CWDM multiplexers ranges from $40 to $80 per channel depending on volume. Standard delivery is stock to 8-12 weeks. Engineering samples and a complete set of technical data is available.
