BT (London) acquired a 13.79% stake in Kymata Ltd. (Livingston, Scotland), a new manufacturer of high-speed, high-capacity optical communications components. Under the agreement, BT will license a number of its opto-electronic patents in exchange for the stake in Kymata, and will give the company access to BT`s technology at the company`s laboratories in Martlesham Heath, UK.
