Segra and UPN unite under one brand

Nov. 21, 2024
The combined company, which Cox Communications owns, will have a unified message and network for businesses and government agencies.

Segra and Unite Private Networks (UPN) have completed the merger of their respective brands. The two companies will officially operate under one name, Segra.

Since Segra announced its acquisition of UPN in 2023, this brand merger brought together two significant providers delivering connectivity, cybersecurity, cloud, and collaboration solutions backed by comprehensive customer service.

With the merger, Segra will unveil a refreshed brand with what it says is a unified, future-focused vision. The brand's revamped website is designed to highlight a new era of connectivity while showcasing a robust portfolio of services and enhancing the overall customer experience.

A significant element of the combined company is its network.

The new standalone company serves over 20,000 connected customer locations in 24 states across 44,000 fiber-route miles — and continues to grow organically and through targeted acquisitions.

Segra recently acquired Everstream’s fiber network in the St. Louis metropolitan area, adding nearly 1,000 route miles of fiber to enhance its ability to reach more business customers.

The new fiber footprint will connect Segra’s Southeast and Midwest networks, bringing greater capacity, fiber connectivity, and customer-focused technology solutions to a broader market.
