Circet USA, a provider of communications network services, has acquired SourceOne, a Utility Consultant that specializes in Outside Plant engineering and design, serving the telecommunications, utility, and governmental sectors.

A key element of the acquisition is SourceOne’s OSP experience serving large service providers like AT&T, Verizon, Lumen, as well as regional players like Clearwave Fiber and TDS Telecom.

"Combining SourceOne's strong engineering business with Circet USA's growing OSP construction business uniquely positions our organization for the rapidly expanding investment taking place in fiber infrastructure,” said Trevor Putrah, CEO of Circet USA.

All about scale

Scaling operations appears to be another reason that Circet made the SourceOne acquisition.

The acquisition combines SourceOne's engineering strengths with Circet USA's national reach and infrastructure capabilities. As a combined organization, the new company will be positioned to meet the growing demand for broadband expansion and utility modernization.

SourceOne will begin working with Circet USA's integration team immediately, focusing on aligning best practices while preserving the values that have defined its success. The acquisition was finalized on July 31, 2025.

BeeJee McGinty, CEO of SourceOne, said that by becoming part of Circet, it could "create new opportunities for our team and deliver even greater value to our customers.”

Targeted M&A

While SourceOne is Circet’s latest deal, it's not the only one it is making to enhance its service set.

Last week, the company announced it was acquiring Gemini Communications’ Blue Streak and CCU subsidiaries.

Similar to the SourceOne acquisition, the Blue Streak and CCU assets are also focused on outside plant fiber services.

The two companies come with over 40 years of experience in construction, maintenance, and restoration of outside plant (OSP) networks for major U.S. communications providers.

Circet said that the combined resources of Circet USA, Blue Streak, and CCU “will enhance operational efficiency and capacity to serve new customers.”
