Airties acquires Aprecomm to expand AI-driven connectivity experience management

The acquisition will deepen its global reach and address the emerging use of AI in the consumer broadband market.

Airties is acquiring Aprecomm, a leading provider of intuitive, self-healing network and customer experience solutions, targeting the growing opportunity in AI-driven connectivity experience management for broadband providers.

The acquisition accelerates Airties' geographic expansion by serving broadband operators in high-growth regions and benefiting from synergies across product portfolios, R&D, and added AI expertise from Aprecomm to further serve ISPs worldwide.

The product synergies in AI-driven connectivity experience management solutions and R&D strengthen Airties' leadership position, empowering broadband operators to improve Quality of Experience and unlock new revenue streams.

Under the terms of the agreement, Aprecomm will operate as a subsidiary of Airties following the close of the deal. Aprecomm will continue to provide tailored solutions to serve its customers and the markets in which it operates.

Enhancing market reach

A big focus of the acquisition is that it enhances Airties’ global reach

Founded in 2016 and headquartered in Bengaluru, India, Aprecomm has continued to resonate with ISPs for its self-healing Wi-Fi and broadband network solutions.

Aprecomm enables ISPs to improve connectivity through AI-driven software services that deliver real-time insights and optimizations, reducing operational costs and increasing customer satisfaction. Today, Aprecomm manages more than seven million homes and business locations, serving more than 50 ISPs worldwide.

Aprecomm's software suite enables service providers to deliver self-healing networks and improved in-home broadband experiences. What service providers will find valuable about Aprecomm’s product portfolio is that it can address the economics and ARPU profiles of ISPs in developing markets while delivering core improvements in home connectivity for consumers.

AirTies will be able to offer a broader product portfolio and customize solutions to address a wide range of customer requirements and market dynamics, and potentially upsell its established Tier-1 broadband base for its AI-powered Connectivity Experience Management Platform, the Aprecomm solution.

The acquisition also enhances AirTies’ ability to deepen its presence within key markets, including India, Southeast Asia and South America.

"Aprecomm is very well positioned in growth markets like India and Southeast Asia, so we now have an unmatched foundation to accelerate our expansion further across Asia-Pacific and into South America, two markets where demand for intelligent connectivity is growing at extraordinary speed," said Metin Taskin, CEO and Co-Founder of Airties.

AI-driven service focus

AirTies’ move is well timed with the growing influence AI is having on the broadband market.

Taskin said, “The acquisition is aligned with our vision of helping ISPs move to agentic AI platforms for the connected home, where the network autonomously anticipates, adapts, and acts to provide the best broadband connectivity experience, lower churn, and unlock new revenue for ISPs."

A recent Parks Associates study reveals that broadband providers and tech companies are shifting their focus to AI-driven services, as basic internet subscription markets reach saturation.

While roughly 58% of U.S. internet households use generative AI tools, only 16% currently pay for them, indicating a major challenge in monetizing these platforms.

Despite all of the momentum around AI, the research firm cautioned that 30% of consumers say they are less likely to purchase a product marketed as “AI-powered,” nearly double the share who say such messaging increases purchase intent.

Jennifer Kent, SVP & Principal Analyst, Parks Associates, said that while it’s clear that AI “has moved into the mainstream of digital life, the winners in the next phase won’t be those with the most features — they’ll be the companies that deliver trusted, embedded intelligence inside ecosystems consumers already value.”
