Ekinops sees Q3 optical boost but faces component supply constraints

The French vendor saw strong growth in optical, software, and SASE in both Europe and North America.

Key Highlights

  • Third-quarter revenue increased 43% year over year to €31.9 million and 4% sequentially.
  • North American revenue rose 32%, while European revenue increased 2%, with Optical Networks sales supporting both regions.
  • Connectivity & SASE Networks grew 10% over nine months, and Olfeo contributed €1.8 million in quarterly revenue.
  • Ekinops raised its fiscal 2026 outlook to high-single-digit growth, citing momentum across business lines and initial Proximus deployments.
  • Supply and pricing constraints affecting electronic components may cause delivery volatility in the coming months.

Enhancing channels, product roadmaps

With its Bridge strategy in place, which aims to consolidate its leadership in fast-growing market segments for Access and Optical Transport product lines, Ekinops is advancing its go-to-market strategy by implementing indirect sales.

Ekinops said it is in “advanced discussions with integrators, distributors and resellers, which are expected to result in the signing of one or more agreements by year-end, across all its regions and portfolio.”

A key focus for optical and software is to enhance its product offerings. Ekinops is developing its future PTM (Photonic Transport Modular) product line for the DCI (Data Center Interconnect) market, as well as its sovereign SASE (Secure Access Service Edge) solutions.

The company said, “Initial deliveries remain scheduled for year-end, in line with the planned timeline.”

Plotting future growth

Driven by gains in optical and software, Ekinops’ third-quarter revenues rose 43% year-over-year to 31.9 million and 4% sequentially.

Sales were also up 13% over nine months.

For Fiscal Year 2026, the company raised its outlook to high single-digit growth, up from single-digit growth previously.

Ekinops said that its outlook is driven “by positive business momentum across all business lines, strong momentum in North America, and the first deployments under the framework agreement with Proximus.”
