Fujitsu Network Communications Inc. and LightRiver were selected by FastTrack Communications to upgrade the company’s locally owned and managed fiber-optic network that serves customers throughout Colorado and New Mexico. FastTrack will deploy a disaggregated architecture using modular 1FINITY blades to boost network capacity, agility, and scalability.

The network upgrade includes the 1FINITY Lambda and Transport services blades deployed in a colorless, directionless ROADM network with in-line amplification and up to 200-Gbps data rates. The upgraded network enables FastTrack to offer mission-critical data transport, high-speed internet connectivity, and voice-over-IP services to business customers and enterprises at peak operational efficiency, say the technology suppliers.

“This network update is a strategic investment in the long-term success of our business customers,” commentd Kelly Hebbard, general manager of FastTrack Communications. “The Fujitsu 1FINITY platform is a great fit for our first-rate fiber network, helping us power local businesses, community institutions and communications carriers at next-generation speeds.”
