Birch Communications significantly expands metro fiber-optic network footprint

Birch Communications, Inc. says it has added 80,000 new buildings across a 22-state area to its BirchLink Metro-Fiber services footprint. The service area now encompasses a total of more than 400,000 buildings nationwide.

Birch Communications, Inc. says it has added 80,000 new buildings across a 22-state area to its BirchLink Metro-Fiber services footprint. The service area now encompasses a total of more than 400,000 buildings nationwide.

The service provider's nationwide IP network now touches 44 major markets in 22 states. It includes 31,000 route-miles of fiber-optic network infrastructure and more than 600 points of presence (PoPs).

Birch offers communications, network, cloud, and IT services to small and mid-sized enterprise and wholesale businesses. BirchLink Metro-Fiber service includes a range of fiber-optic network services for business customers, with an emphasis on reliable and secure connectivity. These include symmetrical 1-Gbps services.
