Panduit Corp. (Tinley Park, IL) announced the completion and approval of the TIA FOCIS-6 fiber jack connector standard. Based on the Panduit opti-jack connector, FOCIS-6 (fiber optic connector intermateability standard) is the first standard completed by the TIA for small-form-factor fiber connectors. The RJ-45-style fiber connector maintains the 2.5-mm ferrule widely deployed currently through ST- and SC-style fiber connectors.
