Arrayed Fiberoptics accuses two Chinese connector companies of patent infringement

The patent covers non-contact optical fiber connectors.

Arrayed Fiberoptics Corp. (AFC) has filed patent infringement lawsuits in China against Shenzhen T&S, and Suzhou Agix. AFC alleges the two Chinese companies infringed on its China patent No. CN201710842885.3.

The patent covers non-contact optical fiber connectors. The company received a U.S. patent for a non-contact fiber connector earlier this year (see “Arrayed Fiberoptics receives U.S. patent for non-contact fiber-optic connector”).

“Arrayed Fiberoptics invests heavily in fiber-optic innovation to benefit its customers and reinforce its position as a global technology leader in optical fiber connectors,” said Benjamin Jian, president of AFC. “As such, we vigorously protect these valuable assets, and this action against Shenzhen T&S and Suzhou Agix is a necessary step to prevent unauthorized infringement.

“Networks of today demand high connector density, and our non-contact MPO connectors are the best solution to meet this demand. Through continuous and significant R&D investment, Arrayed Fiberoptics has built a deep and extensive portfolio of issued and pending patents related to non-contact fiber connectors,” Jian added.
