The sfh67xx 5-Mbit/sec optocouplers have a GaAlAs infrared-emitting diode that is optically coupled with an integrated photodetector for improved noise immunity. Housed in an 8-pin dual-inline package, the sfh67xx features a data rate of 5 Mbits/sec (2.4 Mbits/sec over temperature), isolation test voltage of 2500V ACRMS for 1 min, and a supply voltage range from 4.5 to 15V. A Faraday common-mode shield provides protection against voltage spikes. The sfh6700/19 provides a three-state output, while the sfh6701/02/11/12 all have totem pole-style outputs. The sfh6705 features an open-collector output, which allows the user to tie any desired power-supply voltage to the product, up to the maximum rating. Prices range from $1.69 to $1.83 each for quantities of 10,000.
