Clearfield repackages splitters

APRIL 1, 2009 -- Clearfield Inc. has made another addition to the FieldSmart line of optical components.

APRIL 1, 2009 -- Clearfield Inc. has made another addition to the FieldSmart line of optical components. The company has repackaged the splitters used in its outside plant PON cabinets into an LGX footprint for alternative applications.

Clearfield says its ruggedized packaging enables splitter performance in extreme weather environments of 85C to -55C. The new product is available pre-terminated with a connector of choice.

The FieldSmart product series of optical components is currently shipping.
