Broadband network

Cable Bahamas Ltd. is using the Homeworx hybrid fiber/ coaxial-cable access platform and physical connectivity products of Minneapolis-based ADC Telecommunications Inc. to build a broadband multimedia network serving 70,000 households in The Bahamas. The companies are jointly developing the network, which will begin operation this year.

The Homeworx platform transports digital and analog broadband signals, as well as narrowband telephony and data services to residential and small business customers over a hybrid fiber/coaxial-cable architecture.
