DECEMBER 13, 2006 -- Agilent Technologies Inc. (search for Agilent) has completed the acquisition of certain assets of PXIT Inc., a privately held company that provides signal integrity testing systems for broadband optical transceiver manufacturers. Financial details were not disclosed. All of PXIT's Massachusetts-based employees have joined Agilent.

The combined technology and capabilities of these companies will allow Agilent to continue to innovate in the manufacturing test market, providing R&D and manufacturing customers with increasingly flexible, cost-effective, fast, and accurate test systems, the company says. The acquisition also unites PXIT's technology with Agilent's worldwide channel.
