Test and measurement instrument specialist VeEX Inc. has upgraded its OPX-BOX+ OTDR platform. The enhancements touch upon both hardware and software aspects.

For example, the optical time-domain reflectometer (OTDR) platform now features an an improved poly-carbonate mechanical design, increased data point spacing, and support of the most recent iOS Bluetooth chipset.

The company also has upgraded the unit’s Fiberizer Mobile software, which technicians can use to operate the OPX-BOX+ remotely via iOS and Android platforms. The upgrades include user interface and functional changes. V-Scout link mapping has been simplified, while Fiberscope support and R-server file transfer are now unified and fully integrated, VeEx asserts.
