Broadband Technology Report (BTR) revealed the top-rated entries in 16 product categories as Diamond Technology Reviews winners at a reception held at the Dazzle Denver Jazz Club, during the 2017 SCTE Cable-Tec Expo in Denver, CO. The event marked the first time in the program’s 13-year history that BTR named technology winners.

TheDiamond Technology Reviews recognizes innovation in technology for the broadband cable industry. Vendors are invited to submit information about products that have been released or upgraded since the previous year’s Cable-Tec Expo. Judges rate each entry on a scale of 1 to 5 Diamonds based on the entry’s uniqueness, innovation, ease of use, efficiency, reliability and contribution to profitability. In the past, entries that achieved a score of at least 3.5 Diamonds were recognized for their Elite Score status. This year, each entrant with a score of at least 3.5 was named a Finalist in its respective category. Tom Gorman, president of opXL, served as program manager and supervised the judging process.

Stephen Hardy, editorial director of BTR, revealed the top-rated product in each category during the reception. The winners included:
