The Argus intelligent hacking detection system uses big data and machine learning technology to ensure the highest levels of content and revenue security within cloud-based environments, says Alticast.

A new member of the Alticast AltiProtect product family with deployment scheduled for Q3, 2017, Argus makes it possible for pay TV operators and OTT providers to securely protect - holistically and seamlessly - cross-platform viewing devices, home security systems, Internet of Things products and connected devices against hacking and data breaches that can jeopardize revenue and compromise both the privacy and safety of customers. The cloud-based Argus system helps service providers streamline security by monitoring the network for indications of unauthorized intrusions, overcoming obstacles to next-generation network security by eliminating the need for siloed solutions that monitor individual platforms or devices. Argus is layered atop existing conditional access or digital rights management systems to provide operators with a single, cloud-based view of network security that can detect and respond to intrusions and abnormal behavior across all devices.
