At IBC2018 in Amsterdam in September, Alticast will demonstrate its Ambient TV cloud-based solution for real-time, personalized video based on media, operational and business intelligence. The company will also show its built-in data analytics platform, Argus, designed to provide an adaptive multiscreen user experience (UX) by personalizing the viewing experience and content recommendations, no matter where the content is coming from. The Remote Monitoring System (RMS) component of Argus is designed to holistically monitor the device behaviors and support remote diagnosis.
Alticast will also exhibit several demonstrations with its operator customers, including:
- A functionality demonstration showing Alticast's artificial intelligence (AI)/voice control enhancement on KT's Giga Genie set-top box. The demo will illustrate the use of voice commands to control home IoT services, media services, communication services and AI home assistant services.
- A demo with South Korean satellite broadcaster KT Skylife will highlight Alticast's AltiPlatform middleware solution with cross-compatibility on Linux, RDK and Android platforms.
- Sky Cable's deployment of AltiPlatform will be showcased on a Linux-based set-top to enable devices to flexibly adopt service features such as Netflix, YouTube and third-party OTT apps. The solution is designed to be 4K compatible and feature an advanced UI/UX.
"Alticast's wide product and solutions portfolio provides operators with a toolbox that not only contributes to inspiring their business and services strategies, but helps to enable those strategies," said Dosa Park, head of Media Business Division, Alticast. "Our partners are able to increase their product and content offerings, answer their customer's demands for more personalization, and safeguard their systems from outside threats and unneeded service calls."
