AVSystem intros multiprotocol DOCSIS management

AVSystem has released a DOCSIS provisioning solution for deployment and management of DOCSIS devices. The goal is to manage old and new DOCSIS devices as well as CPE from other access technologies such as FTTx in one platform via the Unified Management Platform (UMP), a multiprotocol and technology-agnostic platform.

Once deployed, DOCSIS devices can be managed along with the rest of the service provider's device population with protocols such as SNMP, TR-069 or Telnet. The solution also offers monitoring and proactive maintenance tools.
