Tempo Communications now offers the FSP200 Optical Fusion Splicer and the FCL200 Optical Fiber Cleaver with auto-end cut collection. The instruments are designed to provide premium performance and efficiency, Tempo asserts.

The FSP200 leverages six precision motors to deliver core alignment for low splice loss, even when the user faces complex fiber geometries. Technicians can use the FSP200 to splice loose-tube fiber to Tempo Splice-on Connectors with the company’s patented adaptor technology as well – an exclusive feature, according to Tempo.

“The features and benefits of the FSP200 are numerous,” said Keith Foord, fiber instruments product manager with Tempo Communications. “The end-user gets core alignment technology, the ability to splice 200-micron ‘micro’ fibers, and an IP52 Ingress Protection Rating, which means it’s water and dust resistant. All of this versatility and adaptability is delivered in a compact, easy-to-use design.”

The FCL200 cleaver complements the FSP200 through its precision-engineered blades that cleave fiber with minimal loss. The auto-end cut collection feature promotes splicing efficiency; cleaved fiber remains in the adapter, ready to splice. Meanwhile, the cleaver’s dust bin safely collects end cuts. The FCL200 cleaver is compatible with other Tempo fusion splicer models in addition to the FSP200 (the 910FS and 915FS).
