Metrological and ActiveVideo have teamed up on a joint solution to enable global pay TV operators to deploy integrated over-the-top (OTT) content on existing set-top boxes.
The solution combines the cloud virtualization capabilities of ActiveVideo CloudTV with the Metrological Application Platform, which integrates TV and Internet with lifecycle support for TV app stores and content. The cloud-based solution is designed to let service providers also deploy OTT content and user experiences (UXs) on existing set-tops that have limited resources and lack full HTML5 support.

The joint solution will be on display at the SCTE/ISBE Cable-Tec Expo in Denver at Metrological's booth.
