TiVo (NASDAQ:TIVO) announced that Cable Onda, a video service provider in Panama and longtime TiVo partner, has agreed to expand its offerings and will soon offer the latest TiVo Gateway DVR solution.
Deployment of the multi-room solution is intended to complement Cable Onda's TV offerings with over-the-top (OTT) content, including Netflix, YouTube and additional apps. Existing Passport Guide customers will also get an upgrade, enhanced with a VOD Discovery Dashboard, restart/replay and network DVR.

The combination of both solutions, TiVo's Gateway DVR and Discovery Dashboard, is intended to enable Cable Onda to serve current subscribers as well as attract new customers with a higher level of service. TiVo's Gateway DVR offers a 4K/UltraHD multi-room solution for DVR, tablets and smartphones.
Discovery Dashboard is designed as an add-on application for Passport Guide HD 7.0 to provide an interface of featured and popular VOD content, customizable by operators or organized into categories such as featured, trending, new to VOD, top movies, and top TV shows. Additionally, the TiVo Gateway DVR solution features multi-room, multiscreen and connected experience capabilities that use the ARRIS gateway box, TiVo Mini, and TiVo iOS and Android apps for smartphones and tablets. Service providers can integrate OTT content, linear TV and VOD.
