Comcast's (NASDAQ:CMCSA) new Xfinity Mobile service, first announced in April, is now available in Xfinity Store locations across Oregon and southwest Washington. The MSO is introducing the service market by market, and the Oregon/SW Washington stores are among the first in the western United States to offer the wireless service.

"We're excited to be one of the first areas of the country to unveil Xfinity Mobile at our Xfinity Stores," said Rodrigo Lopez, regional senior vice president of Comcast in Oregon/SW Washington. "Our stores are the ultimate showcase for consumers to experience how Xfinity Mobile integrates with our other Xfinity products including X1, Xfinity Home, and xFi."

Xfinity Mobile is now available at stores in East Portland, Eugene, Hillsboro, Salem, Milwaukie, and Vancouver, WA. It will also be available at a new Gresham store, which is scheduled to open on July 20.

Xfinity Mobile combines access to Verizon's (NYSE:VZ) 4G LTE network with Comcast's WiFi network of more than 17 million hotspots nationwide, including more than 475,000 in Oregon/SW Washington. Available to all Xfinity Internet customers, the service includes up to five lines, nationwide talk and text, and no line access fees.

Each Xfinity Mobile customer receives 100 MB of shared data across all lines on the account. Two data options are available:

  • Unlimited - $45 per month, per line on up to five lines with no usage limits,, though speeds are reduced after 20 GB.
  • By the Gig - $12 per GB of shared cellular data across all lines on an account each month

Using the Xfinity Mobile app, customers can switch their data plan back and forth between "By the Gig" and "Unlimited" data options for no additional cost. Families can also mix and match on an account to suit each individual.

Xfinity Mobile offers smartphones from Apple, Samsung and LG.
