US Signal establishes SD-WAN pact with Cato Networks

Sept. 5, 2023
The service provider will leverage Cato’s SASE platform to deliver SD-WAN services for enhanced network connectivity.

US Signal, a data center and cloud provider, has partnered with SASE provider Cato Networks to provide SD-WAN services to its business customers. The collaboration with Cato gives US Signal distribution rights for Cato’s Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) Cloud throughout North America.

SASE itself is fast becoming a big trend in the digital transformation segment. According to Gartner, total worldwide end-user spending on SASE will reach $9.2 billion in 2023, up 39% increase from 2022. Gartner coined SASE as a technology framework for the convergence of network access and security in cloud-native environments. SASE is one of six trends six trends that the research firm said will have a significant impact on infrastructure and operations (I&O) over the next 12 to 18 months.

Likewise, SD-WAN has become essential to any modern IT environment to ensure secure and efficient enterprise IT infrastructure management. The provider initially announced plans to deliver SD-WAN in May.

US Signal's launch of SD-WAN delivers more speed and reliability in network connectivity. The provider’s SD-WAN technology connects multiple locations and networks, optimizing application performance and reducing congestion. With its centralized management portal, US Signal offers effortless configuration and maintenance. Critical applications and traffic are prioritized for an optimal user experience.

"US Signal is committed to delivering cutting-edge technology solutions that enable our customers to thrive in today's competitive and rapidly changing business landscape," said Dan Watts, CEO of US Signal. "Our new SD-WAN offering empowers our customers with unparalleled control over their network infrastructure, enabling their teams to enhance productivity, efficiency, and flexibility."
