PennWell Corporation has appointed Michael Wolf as Publisher of Lightwave Europe. Wolf was most recently international sales director, technology for McGraw-Hill's Business Week magazine.

PennWell Senior Vice-President David Janoff said, "We are pleased to have Michael join Lightwave Europe. It has been extremely successful since its launch, exceeding advertising expectations.

Wolf was previously managing director, international for Data Communications and tele.com; and sales director for Telecommuni- cations, Microwave Journal, Journal of Electronic Defense, and Communications.
