Infinite Electronics sold to Warburg Pincus
Infinite Electronics, which sells electronic components and communications technology via a wide range of brands, says that it has been purchased by private equity firm Warburg Pincus. The company, which sells optical communications products via its Integra Optics, L-com, and ShowMe Cables brands, did not reveal how much money its previous owner, Genstar Capital, received in the transaction. Infinite Electronics says its new owners plan to fund geographic and product line expansion, entry into new markets, and enhanced digital capabilities.
In addition to Integra Optics, L-com, and ShowMe Cables, Infinite Electronics brands include Pasternack, Fairview Microwave, MilesTek, Aiconics, KP Performance Antennas, PolyPhaser, Transtector, RadioWaves, INC Installs, and NavePoint. “Infinite Electronics was created to serve as the definitive electronic components source for engineers in need, supporting our customers with urgent deadlines with the industry’s broadest offering of products that are in stock and ready to ship same day. This investment will further strengthen and expand our industry-leading product portfolio, while enhancing our mission to provide our global engineering customer base with deep technical expertise and support,” commented Penny Cotner, president and CEO of Infinite Electronics.

The use of strategic acquisitions would be nothing new for Infinite Electronics; for example, the company bought Integra Optics in June 2019 (see “Infinite Electronics enters optical transceiver market via Integra Optics buy”).
