Chayora’s Northern China data center receives provisional Tier III facility certification
Chayora Ltd. says its Tianjin 1 (TJ1) data center is the first such facility in Northern China to receive Uptime Institute’s Tier III Certificate of Design Documents and a provisional Tier IIII Certification of Constructed Facility. The achievements also make TJ1, located in the Beijing area, one of only two privately held data centers so certified in Mainland China (a government-owned facility also carries such certification) and the only one to hold dual certification with the OCP Ready TM certification in China.
TJ1 resides within Chayora’s Tianjin 32-hectare/ 80-acre campus ("Chayora’s TJ1 Beijing data center now operational"). In addition to being close to Beijing, the location also is handy to the Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei Tri-state Region’s growing artificial intelligence, financial services, and high-technology sectors. With more than 25,000 racks available in Tianjin, Chayora asserts its data center campus also is the largest site commercially available for hyperscale clients that has achieved this level of certification, offering twice the rack capacity of its closest commercial competitor and rack power densities of up to 30 kW/rack.
“We offer hyperscale clients exceptional scalability across the Chayora campus, offering up to 25,000 racks in seven build-to-suit standalone data center facilities with over 300 MVA gross power available: traditional and renewable. The facilities certification from Uptime Institute that we have achieved demonstrates the exceptional standards we work toward,” asserted Tiger Zhao, operations director for Chayora.
