TDS deploying FTTP in Kenosha County, WI

The company expects to pass about 3800 addresses in Twin Lakes, WI, with FTTP, over which it plans to offer 8-Gbps broadband services.

TDS Telecommunications LLC says it has begun deploying a fiber to the premises (FTTP) network in Twin Lakes, WI, its first such installation in its home state’s Kenosha County. The company expects to pass about 3800 addresses with FTTP, over which it plans to offer 8-Gbps broadband services.

The service menu also will feature TDS TV+ video services as well as voice in addition to internet connectivity. TDS plans for service roll out to proceed neighborhood by neighborhood as it deploys the FTTP infrastructure.

“High-speed internet is critical to a community’s infrastructure and quality of life. We are excited to bring our fiber internet network to Twin Lakes and better connect residents, businesses, schools, public safety agencies, and many others,” said Drew Petersen, TDS senior vice president of corporate affairs.

TDS is headquartered in Madison, WI.
