Enablence secures GEPON diplexer transceiver order

DECEMBER 15, 2006 -- Enablence Technologies Inc. has accepted a purchase order for its GEPON diplexer transceiver product designed for the FTTH industry.

DECEMBER 15, 2006 -- Enablence Technologies Inc. (search for Enablence) has accepted a purchase order for its GEPON diplexer transceiver product designed for the FTTH industry.

"Enablence has begun receiving purchase orders for our planar lightwave circuit (PLC) based GEPON diplexer transceivers earlier than anticipated," announced Arvind Chhatbar, the CEO of Enablence Technologies Inc. "We believe this early order is an indication of the growing demand for Enablence's products as we prepare our production lines for accepting larger volume orders in 2007."

Enablence's GEPON diplexer transceivers are designed using Enablence's PLC technology and are manufactured using fully automated production lines. Enablence's diplexer transceivers are for GE-PON applications operating at 1.25 Gbits/sec and are designed to be fully compliant with IEEE 802.3ah GEPON.

Enablence Technologies says it is not permitted to release the identity of the customer.

The company also announced a new patent for its Dispersion Bridge technology upon with the transceiver is based.
