Cisco’s NCS 1014 Multi-Haul 3rd generation Compact Modular platform, which can be placed in data centers and central offices, offers complete life-cycle automation and real-time visibility.  The NCS 1014 provides best-in-class performance for metro, long-haul, and submarine applications while being simple to deploy and manage. It allows operators to maximize capacity with minimum space and power footprint. At 2RU and 600mm rack support, along with four-line card slots, one field replaceable controller card, three redundant fans, and two redundant power supplies.

The NCS 1014 platform can integrate OLS and WDM functionalities and address applications from DCI to Submarines, with both industry-standard (QDD) and (CIM 8) Coherent Pluggable interfaces. It leverages the 2.4T WDM Line Card (based on Acacia Coherent Interconnect Module (CIM) 8), the 3.2T QDD Line Card supporting Acacia 400G ULH, 400G Bright ZR+, and 100G QSFP-DD coherent pluggable, and the EDFA2 Line Card to integrate the OLS functionalities.
