World Wide Packets, a solutions provider for optical broadband connectivity, has appointed Powernet, a manufacturer and supplier of broadband access solutions in Korea, as an authorized channel partner for the Korean market.
Powernet will integrate the full range of World Wide Packets' LightningEdge hardware and software products into its broadband access solution. The World Wide Packets' Ethernet to the Subscriber products include:
(1) the LightningEdge Access Portal, providing a Gigabit of dedicated bandwidth for simultaneous transmission of voice, video and data;
(2) the LightningEdge Access Distributor, allowing service providers to connect seamlessly with subscribers over standard Gigabit Ethernet or 10 Gigabit Ethernet links, increasing service deployment flexibility; and
(3) the LightningEdge Network Supervisor, management and provisioning software allowing voice, video and data to become provisioning options from the service provider to their subscriber base, rather than individual applications from separate providers.
World Wide Packets has established its new LightningEdge Alliance channel partner program to address the global pent up demand for its full suite of access solutions. Channel partners in the LightningEdge Alliance program receive comprehensive, hands-on instruction and lab simulation training, supported by industry-defining technical assistance via telephone and the Internet. Project-based technical and management support, combined with sales and marketing product training, are key elements in the program.
