Enablence Technologies granted patent
DECEMBER 15, 2006 -- Enablence Technologies Inc. (search for Enablence) has been granted an additional patent on its "Dispersion Bridge Technology" by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for "Double Diffraction Grating With Flat Passband Output."
"Enablence's Double Diffraction Grating With Flat Passband Output patent (US Patent number 7,149,387) is further evidence of Enablence's proprietary intellectual property for the fiber-to-the-home marketplace and our ability to lower costs with new technology," explained Arvind Chhatbar, the CEO of Enablence Technologies Inc.
"In addition to the Double Diffraction Grating Flat Passband Output patent, Enablence was granted patents by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for Double Diffraction Grating Planar Lightwave Circuit and for Planar Waveguide Reflective Diffraction Grating in October. In December of 2005 Enablence acquired a portfolio of 26 patents and patent applications that relate to the design and manufacture of integrated optical components," explained Chhatbar.
"Enablence is pleased to have been granted this third patent for our Dispersion Bridge Technology," added Chhatbar. "With our planar lightwave circuit (PLC) technology patented and protected Enablence will begin to commercialize our PLC-based triplexers and diplexers and ramp our production capacity at our contract manufacturers."
