Coherent: Ultra-Compact Dual-Chip 980nm Pump Laser

Coherent’s dual-chip pump laser leverages the company's expertise in dual-chip fiber alignment.

Coherent’s dual-chip pump laser boasts strong output power, compact design, and unmatched long-term reliability. By leveraging the company's expertise in dual-chip fiber alignment, the product has maximized the coupling efficiency of individual laser diodes into two independent fibers. This optimization delivers an output of 2x 400mW. The new pump laser module enables higher power and more complex amplifier designs, such as those targeted at the L-band or for bi-directional designs. Protected within an ultra-compact package, the design has been optimized for tolerance and process control, making it scalable for high-volume manufacturing.
JUDGE’S COMMENT: "Coherent continues its excellence in pump laser innovation with this product."
