Greenlight Networks presses forward with its New Jersey fiber expansion effort
Greenlight Networks continues to expand its fiber internet network across the eastern Lehigh Valley region, with new builds underway in Easton City, Pennsylvania, and plans for neighboring Phillipsburg, New Jersey, as part of a broader regional effort. The expansion follows Greenlight’s April 2026 announcement of services to the City of Bethlehem and its first expansion project in New Jersey, announced earlier this month. Greenlight is investing more than $20 million in Easton City, PA, and Phillipsburg, NJ, where construction is already underway to bring its fiber network to tens of thousands of homes and businesses. Initial neighborhoods in the Easton City area are expected to become serviceable in early 2027. Following its initial $62 million investment in the City of Bethlehem, where construction is ongoing and thousands of households and businesses already have access, this latest build strengthens Greenlight’s growing presence in the Greater Lehigh Valley region.
Comcast completes Washington County, Pennsylvania expansion
Comcast has wrapped up a network expansion project that now offers Xfinity and Comcast Business services to more than 2,300 previously unserved homes and businesses across Washington County, Pennsylvania. Construction is expected to begin in 2027, with the first customers anticipated to be connected as the network build progresses. The service provider is rapidly expanding its fiber network across Massachusetts, with Haverhill among the nearly 30 communities included in the company’s initial $250 million investment.

Spectrum Community Solutions entered into a long-term agreement with DMB Development to install Spectrum Internet and Advanced Wi-Fi in the first build-out phase, which includes 3,200 homes, at Silverwood, a master-planned community in Hesperia, Calif.
