Lumentum: 100G PAM4 Uncooled EMLs for Next-Generation Data Centers

March 23, 2021
The HL13B6, a self-hermetic EML, enables cooler-less full C-temp module designs for 100G, 400G, and 800G PAM4 optical transceiver modules.
Lumentum's HL13B6 Series is a 100G PAM4 uncooled EML device for next-generation data centers. The HL13B6, a self-hermetic EML, enables cooler-less full C-temp module designs for 100G, 400G, and 800G PAM4 optical transceiver modules, an industry first. The HL13B6 has improved bandwidth and generates best-in-class PAM4 53-Gbaud signal quality.

Judge’s comment: “This is a key technology needed for 100G-and-above transceivers used in data centers. Lumentum is one of the first companies to develop this."
