JANUARY 26, 2010 Photonics technicians at the Camp Pendleton Marine Corps Base in Oceanside, Calif., need 88 tactical fiber optic cable assembly (TFOCA) I two-channel plugs with 3-foot pigtail cables.

The TFOCA I plugs must be of hermaphroditic design, be 50/125 multimode cable, have biconic termini with dust covers, and have three feet of pigtail cable. The federal solicitation number is M00681-10-T-0017. This request for quotation (RFQ) is exclusively for small businesses with 1,000 or fewer employees.

Of primary importance for the winning bidder is price, capability, and ability to deliver quickly and efficiently. The Marine Corps must receive quotes no later than 3 p.m. pacific time on 29 Jan. 2010 -- just three days away.
